A beautiful, delicate, yet hardy iris native to Oregon and California. It can be found growing west of the Cascades in coniferous forests and oak savannas at elevations around 2,000-3,000 feet.

Iris chrysophylla flowers from late April through June. The flowers are a creamy pale yellow with dark purple veins. Iris chrysophylla prefers part shade to full sun and well-draining soil. Will tolerate clay so long as it is well-draining. Water judiciously in summer so as to prevent root rot.
