White spirea (Spirea betulifolia var lucida)

Price

$35.00

One of the most drought tolerant of this genus. A compact shrub that thrives in a variety of conditions, from Doug fir understories to oak savannas. Tolerates clay and silty loam alike. In spring, the plants are covered in fluffy white inflorescences that are much loved by native bees, beetles, moths, and butterflies.
Because of its compact habit and suitability to nearly all conditions, it makes a fabulous landscaping plant or border hedge. Will tolerate full sun, but looks its best with some afternoon shade and bit of light watering during the hottest months of summer.

Will grow up toe 3x3 feet and spread slowly via stolons. Not as aggressive as Doug spirea.
