Pearly everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea)
$10.00
One of my favorites, Pearly everlasting is a beautiful perennial with clusters of white flowers akin to strawflowers. Pearly everlasting will thrive in full sun or part shade in the understory of oaks or other landscaping plants. Despite its delicate appearance, this is a very hardy and tough plant that thrives in almost any condition- will do well in urban yardscapes. The stems grow 1-3 ft. tall and are often clumped together. The stems and leaves a blue-grey and soft, while the flowers are pure white and last for months (hence the name). Will self-sow and spread vigorously.
The dried stalks with their pearly-white heads are attractive in dried floral arrangements.
