Oregon oxalis, Redwood sorrel (Oxalis oregana)

Price

$4.00

Beautiful woodland plant. Is native to the west coast where it can be found in dense, damp forests, including redwood groves (hence the name).

Spreads via rhizome, though not vigorously. The shamrock shaped leaves are present most of the year, except over cold winters and very hot summers, when the plant goes dormant.

Can easily be grown in a container or pot, or in acidic damp ground. Pairs well with snowberry, Oregon grape, salal, and wild ginger.

The leaves are slightly tangy and can be used as a lovely garnish or addition to a salad.
