Mock orange (Philadelphis lewisii)
$16.00
Mock orange is a deciduous shrub that is covered in fragrant white blossoms in spring to summer.
The large, white flowers bloom in clusters and have a heavy, sweet scent similar to citrus blossoms. It is fast-growing and tolerates almost any soil type. It is part shade tolerant, but can be leggy with too much shade. It also tolerates a hard prune to encourage bushier growth.
The plant can reach 10-15 feet in height, but can also be pruned to keep smaller. It will also grow in a container/pot to encourage a smaller size.
Intermittent and light watering during dry summers will keep it looking green and robust.
