$12.00
Certainly magnificent! Related to Erythranthe guttata, Erythranthe grandis also exhibits bright yellow tubular flowers and dark green, fleshy pinnate or palmate leaves.
E grandis is native to the California and Oregon coastlines, where it thrives in sandy dunes and salt spray. E grandis can also be found inland in coastal, marshy or wet areas. It makes a wonderful addition to damp, shady areas of the yard and/or can be grown in containers with traditional potting soil.
It will grow happily with its roots submerged and its spreading root system makes it one of the best plants for filtering water in ponds and aquatic gardens. Its abundant fragrant, yellow snapdragon-shaped flowers add spectacular color. It spreads quickly and self seeds, but seedlings can be easily pulled to keep the plant manageable.
