Globe gilia (Gilia capitata)
Price
$6.00
Globe gilia is native to much of Western North America, including Oregon, and is often found in dry, gravelly soil. This drought tolerant annual thrives in challenging conditions, though also does well in containers and more formal garden settings.
Globe gilia is a favorite in pollinator gardens and supports numerous specialist bees, beetles, and other insects.
The lavender flowers appear in mid spring to early summer. The fern-like, lacy leaves are a lovely addition to meadowscapes and borders alike. This plant will self-sow, though is easy to control once established.
