$6.00
Giant White Wakerobin (Trillium albidum) is a beautiful native plant familiar to those in the Willamette Valley. With their stunning white flowers, they are truly a harbinger of spring.
Despite their delicate appearance, trilliums are fairly hardy and tolerate a variety of soil types. While they prefer damp forests with their slightly acidic, humus rich soil, they also tolerate heavy clays. Trilliums grow best in shade/part shade and need a summer and fall dormancy period (i.e. no artificial watering). They are best moved and planted out during dormancy when the plant is not actively growing
Trillium grow from a rhizome and are slow to mature- they typically do not flower until their 7th year.
Our trillium rhizomes are sourced from a responsible native plant nursery and grown on in pots. They are available for sale in late spring and early summer.
