Echinacea "Cherokee Sunset" (Echinacea x hybrida)

Price

$14.00

This Echinacea hybrid comes in a variety of autumnal hues, from gold to deep red. The genus echinacea is native to the central United States where it thrives in open prairies. Echinacea is a superb pollinator plant and attracts bees, hoverflies, and butterflies. It also tolerates our heavy clay soils, though performs best with consistent moisture. It is also a wonderful plant for containers. Place in full sun to keep the plant from becoming "leggy". Will tolerate freezing winters and come back larger and fuller year after year. Deadhead blooms to prevent the plant from self-sowing, or leave the seeds for birds.
