Rudbeckia triloba is a North America native plant and is named after its tri-lobed leaves. The plant is sturdy and branching and topped with small yellow daisy-like flowers with brown centers. Grows to be 3-5 feet tall, so best at the back of a border, or on its own. Depending on the growing conditions, this plant may act as an annual, biennial, or as a short-lived perennial. Like Rudbeckia hirta, tolerates heavy clay soil, but needs adequate drainage.
