Black-eyed Susan is native North American praire plant with daisy-like flowers with dark centers on 1-2 ft. stems. The leaves are covered with bristly hairs that are not susceptible to aphids. It tolerates clay soil, but needs adequate drainage. Consider ammending heavy clay with sharp grit, or planting in a bed or container.
